The Festival of the SEK-Ciudalcampo Dance School

The Festival of the SEK-Ciudalcampo Dance School is a tradition held every June at the SEK-Ciudalcampo School of Dance. Students from preschool to high school demonstrate their skills in ballet, flamenco, and funk.

Dance is not only visually beautiful but also a discipline that fosters important values in its practitioners:

  • Discipline: Dance requires constant practice, concentration, and dedication. Dancers learn to follow instructions, work hard, and overcome obstacles.
  • Creativity: Through dance, artists can express their emotions, tell stories, and explore new forms of movement. Creativity is essential for choreographers and dancers.
  • Teamwork: Many forms of dance, such as ballet or folk dances, involve working together with other dancers. Coordination, synchronization, and trust are essential for a harmonious performance.
  • Self-expression: Dance allows performers to communicate their feelings and thoughts without words. It provides a way to express joy, sadness, passion, or any other emotion.
  • Respect: Dancers learn to respect their teachers, peers, and audiences. They also respect the history and tradition of different dance styles.
  • Persistence: Overcoming technical challenges, injuries, or difficult moments in dance requires perseverance.
