On Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26, two debate tournaments were held in Madrid.
On the one hand, in the most important tournament in Europe CICAE-UCJC, with more than 100 participating teams in Spanish and English, our Spanish team formed by Paula Cosgaya, Leire Barrondo, Jimena San Bruno, Héctor Pinar and Paula Barrondo, won 5th place as well as a recognition for best speaker in which Paula Barrondo was awarded.
The English team did an excellent job too with Alice Harvey, Molly de Santos, Inés Aschenbrenner and Alexandra Harumi.
On the other hand, in the Aprora Tournament two SEK teams made their debut for this event, doing a great job that ended up with a recognition for Roxanna Roca for best opening speech. Our students Leonardo Amor, Chae Bin Lee and Claudia Serna also participated. The youngest participants, 1st year Secondary students competed for the first-time learning teamwork, defending an argument, and speaking in public. Congratulations to Rodrigo Martín, Amanda García-Villaraco, Óscar Zarcero, Maya Sánchez and Daniela Gómez.
