1st year Baccalaureate won second place in the UCJC Tech Summit Challenge Global Prize, in which more than 40 schools from all over the world participated. This award aims to foster reflection on the use of technologies for the common good focusing on those initiatives in which technology contributes to the resolution of a challenge associated with at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by UN.
Our students developed a device capable of measuring water quality in an easy and simple way anywhere in the world and from any water source. The judges’ appreciated that the solution created by SEK-Ciudalcampo students is an innovation based on very affordable components and raw materials that can turn any student in the world into a researcher, within an open community that shares its knowledge for the benefit of all. For the judges, the SEK Ciudalcampo’s project is based on the principles of open science.
