Last Saturday, March 17, the I Online Chess Contest in Memory of Felipe Segovia was held. More than 150 students from schools throughout the Community of Madrid participated in this event that took place during the “Live your School” day.
The competition was held in three categories and it is worth highlighting the great performance of six students of the SEK Educational Institution: Pedro Miguel Gómez, Hugo Ochoa and Deva Estévez, students of SEK-Ciudalcampo; Lucas Conti and Adrián Gómez, belonging to SEK-El Castillo; and Jo Jamamoto, from SEK-Santa Isabel.
It is the first time that this chess contest has been held in an online format (due to the pandemic) and has had a large number of participants, on the other hand, the quality of the games in all categories has been excellent.
For several years, this contest has been held in memory of Felipe Segovia Olmo, founder of the SEK Education Group.
