This week the midwifery classes have started at the College. The objective of this activity is to reinforce the bond of love and trust between parents and the student, sharing a playful experience that takes place in a warm and relaxed environment.
Swimming is one of the most complete sports that a child can practice: lung and motor capacity is exercised and is a good early stimulation tool. Young children adapt very well to the aquatic environment and approaching it from an early age avoids the danger of beaches and swimming pools.
The benefits of midwifery are many:
– Improved psychomotor development, offering the child freedom of movement, increasing sensitivity and improving coordination
– Strengthens the cardiorespiratory system (heart and lungs): increases efficiency in oxygenation and transfer of blood – Serves as a tool to achieve relaxation in children: favors the quality and duration of sleep
– Strengthens the affective-cognitive relationship between children and their parents. dres through pleasant and relaxed experiences – Develops survival skills in the water avoiding future dangers
– Improves the immune system
On the other hand, sharing this experience with colleagues and their families helps them learn to share, communicate and Participate in group activities. Specialist teachers plan these classes respecting the rhythm of each child and creating a relaxed and playful environment that predisposes them to have a positive attitude towards the aquatic environment.
