Students and families of 1st ESO of SEK-Ciudalcampo, working on meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals

On June 5, SEK-Ciudalcampo teachers and students celebrated World Environment Day working at all stages and subjects in different educational activities. The youngest students created their own worlds free of debris, proposed different solutions for reusing or recycling materials, or became aware of the importance of bees. In Secundaria, a round table on biodiversity was organized, talks on climate change were given, and collages were created with the environment as the protagonist. In Bachillerato, some students organized a conference on climate change for their classmates in 2ºESO. In Mathematics, Science or Individuals and Societies, teachers proposed to their students activities related to biodiversity.

World Environment Day is the most renowned day for environmental action. Since 1974, it has been celebrated every year on 5 June: engaging governments, businesses, celebrities and citizens to focus their efforts on a pressing environmental issue.
